Default 1/8 Scale Buggy battery for Racing>>>

What is the recommended 4s battery size for 1/8 scale racing and C rating? Do most run one battery or two 2s batteries? Pro and cons Thanks

Most run 4s hard case packs 5400mAH to 7200mAH. Pay a little attention to the "C rating" but known performance and recommendations often yield the better choices. Protek, Fantom, SMC, the newer CRC are all packs I've used or been told held up very well to the 1/8 abuse. There are others out there.. Not many racers I know run 2 2s packs in series but a few do. Extra connections and potential for failure for sure on the bad side, but on the good side if you loose 1 of 4 cells (or 2 of 8) you only have to replace 1/2 your packs One thing some guys do with a double shorty setup is change the weight balance a little too where with one pack you don't have much choice. I've had great luck w/ the newer LGC 4s packs in my ebuggy, but I'd never run those in my Truggy.
