what a stupid reason for leaving. if losi keeps it up they will have no good factory drivers. they have kinwald, robbers, truhe, waldron, drake, peanut and JB thats all i can think of off the top of my head. AE has pudge, pillars, now easton, mitch, tebo, hara, montgomery, masiami, jason (of jconcepts), maifield, cragg, and king.

Actually Easton is NOT with associated.
He is with Yokomo and not sure if he will run Offroad.

Talking Easton's Horse?

So what chassis will he run in onroad/offroad?

Hell - I like guys moving around, we get to see if it is the man or the machine.
and we all benefit from the set ups.

Till they all go brushless, I think motors are basically a wash and neutralize the field - it's then set up IMHO.

Thats a pretty dumb reason for leaving, but hey, drivers race for different companies all the time.

If you can't drive the car, the power is useless.

Whatever car he's piloting, you can bet it'll be in the A-main just about anywhere.

I'm no Billy Easton, but i'm running Associated as well now. When I showed up at our last state race with my new gear a few other racers said they will be switching by our next race as well.

BJ4's took the top 5 spots in 4wd and B4 took the top 4 in 2wd, in Truck it was top 3 T4's in mod truck.

This may be a factor also.

They are all good cars, but there is a need for some changes at TL.

W.E.D Jim, you hit the nail on the head about Losi at the moment. Losi has some great cars, and some of the top drivers, but some flaws in the design of their cars need to be addressed pretty soon. The cars are decent out of the box, but I had to spend a lot of time getting the AD2 to finish a main. Ti rear pivot block, custom drilled rear axles with machined aluminum spacers, widened front axles, etc. I bet I've spent 4 days staring at AutoCAD machining out parts......

I'm sticking with Losi right now and wringing out the durability issues with the AD2, but when AE brings out the new GT, I'm making the transition.

I'm really itching to see what Yokomo brings out next, with Easton on the team.....Maybe a 2wd buggy?

Another Losi Factory Team Driver is Al Horne, I wonder what other Losi drivers have left the Losi camp?

And in the story it says Easton will be driving AE buggy and truck in Mod Nationals

Default billy easton joins yokomo

hi all:yes i agree billy easton does move around alot.he will be driving the associated b4 and t4 at the '06 nationals, but he's officially on the yokomo team for 4wd buggy and sedan.all i can say is that for various reasons he wanted out of losi so they let him go.I see no problem with that and wish him luck.p.s. two other drivers i know of have left losi as well and they are ray darroch now with corally and josh numan now with tamiya.i do agree with losi's point on differant track conditions now and the when the onroad worlds roles around as well as big $$$ to send drivers overseas.is it worth it you make the call?just my 2 cects worth..

I agree as well because we all know who ends up paying for it, the racers that buy the kits.
