Default Help on Batt discharge

Im making a light bulb discharg tray for my Batterys.
I saw a few people were using automatic cut offs that when the voltage got so low it would shut off.
I was wondering if anyone knows how to make the circuit and at what voltage it should be set at.

Are there any circuits that use transitors so it would be smaller?
