Default Hub spacing

So I have a rookie question in regards to hub spacing. When I look at a setup sheet an it indicates rear hub spacing back. Are they saying the hub is back and the spacers forward, or is it the opposite and the spacers are back and the hub is forward?

also on the front they only indicate 1mm spacer. But Doesn’t say if it is forward or back.

i understand that these changes lengthing or decrease the wheel base, more just trying to make sure I understand the setup sheet, and I’m doing it right.

The Rear=hub is rear and spacers forward for increased wheel base.
Front= hub is front and spacers are rear for increased wheel base.

+4 rear hubs offer optional roll center and ride height, stock front spindles ride height is adjustable and is recommended that the front spindles are down=spacers on the bottom.

I see you are AE.. not sure if your front spindles are adjustable or if you have optional rear hub roll centers.

thank you for the clarification. That’s the way I have always been doing it, but I started to second guess myself the other day.
