Default What class is the most fun to drive?

Our local track runs 1/10 scale outdoor dirt on a fairly tight layout. I'm looking to get started but I'm not expecting to be one of the hardcore competitive guys, mainly I'm doing this for a fun hobby and I'm curious what people think are the most fun classes to race in.

The options are (based on what they offer and have decent numbers of drivers for):
2WD Stock Buggy
2WD Mod Buggy
4WD Mod Buggy
2WD Mod Stadium Truck

What do you think is the most fun and why? Thanks!

Of those choices, 2WD Stadium Truck. A tiny bit less fanatical than 17.5T buggy which while billed as the "stock" class of modern times is anything but easy or cheap. Stadium Truck is a bit more forgiving to drive and set up. That said I suspect this goes the way of Ford vs. Chevy debate.

I agree with stadium truck whole heartedly. It is more precise than short course but you can be more aggressive and it's more forgiving that buggy. 17.5 is too slow though for me 13.5 or faster is the way to go.

Stadium truck. What I started on back in the late 90s and will never not have one in my stable. Stock buggy is an endless money pit. It really should be fixed can 21.5, and save the $200.00 motor for an "expert" stock class for people too scared to run mod or are trophy hunting.. lol

Sounds like the consensus is for Stadium Truck. I'll be visiting the track tonight to get more information so I'll be sure to ask questions about the Stadium Truck class and try to talk to some drivers.

What turn motor would you guys suggest for mod 2WD Stadium Truck on a fairly technical dirt track? What do you think are the top Stadium Trucks on the market currently, preferring something that's easy to drive and easy to work on? I think I've heard good things about the Xray and I see it's on sale right now so maybe that's a good way to go?

We have a fairly large astro turf track, and people are usually driving 5.5T - 7.5T motors around here. So maybe try 7.5T or 8.5T?

Stadium Truck is a blast, and they are not as setup dependent as 2wd buggy. I would recommend the Associated T6.1, tons of part support and tons of setups available. Don't have to go too crazy on motors with STs, for most tracks a 10.5T will be plenty, if you really want more speed 8.5T is the lowest turn I ever needed. Stadium Trucks do move really nicely on the Stock 13.5T classes as well if your track has it.

Make sure your track really supports it. I like 2wd mod for fun.

Stadium truck maybe the most fun, but..... beware that whilst stadium truck is having a bit of a comeback right now, it can be very hit and miss. You could be buying in to a class that in 6 months time has gone very quiet and your track hasnít enough entries to run a heat. 2wd is always popular however and has stood the test if time.
