Default discharge tray ?

I am looking to buy a discharge tray there are way to many out there. I have reg. 3300 gp's and have some IB 4200's on the way. I like the idea of the non polarized ones but it doesn't really matter my packs will fit the smart tray. But are there better ones out there. I have no idea what to look for in one that's why I am asking the people who know this stuff.

I've got the Novak smart tray and it rocks. The adjustability is great, it will dead short your cells too if you want. I like the fact you can just throw your pack on it hit the button and just pull it off when its done, not like my old Trinity real time 2, that thing really sucked. Having to screw the cells in and monitor that pack...argh.

I just bought a cheaper tray, and that is what it is a cheaper tray. NOVAK SMART TRAY is the only way to go.

I was looking at the smart tray since it is more user friendly for a noob like me. Maybe once I get it down if I want something a little more complicated I will get something else or maybe not.

GREAT LINKS, I was going to build another tray since i work with hardware engineers. I got most of the info and parts from them, but I was off a little in the numbers.

anyways, Thanks for the links.

worth every cent. teamwave does so much better job than the smart tray.

e.g my 1 year old gp3300's. normally would only charge to 3300mah. lost lots of runtime. i put it on the temwave, and now can accept 3700mah.

now there good enough to use for mod again. i'm happy

oh well. not my job to promote it, just letting you know how good it is.

The absolute best tray out there right now is the Much More CTX-D but it is $200. It is capable of pulse discharging individual cells at 30amps - which is good for discharging full or partially full packs (like when you get done racing) or linear discharging at 5amps - which is good for equalizing a pack. It has 2 other modes dead short and ??? but I mainly use those 2 as I run IB3800s.

I've got a Novak Smart Tray and it works pretty good and long as you don't forget what you're doing and put the pack in upside down. That can screw up, a pack in just a few seconds. Room temperature to 170 degrees plus in less than ten seconds.

I've thought about selling it and getting the Tekin unit. Pro-Match has them for around $50 (I forget the exact price) and the PM people are so frikken cool.....
