Default Arrma 1/8 Typhon 3s BLX 2019. Best light weight Basher now?

Hi

Arrma Typhon 3s BLX the new one .
This car is light weight 1/8 Buggy

This car have 13t pinion stock.
You can drive it 20t pinion also without heat issues.
18t is the Bashers dream i think.
Better Steering Servo like 10kg atleast

RPM arms
18t pinion
3s 40c + lipo

What else do you need ?
Charger

This Car is Fast and fun. Durable.
Also cheap.

Maybe this is the best Basher fun car this year ? at low coast ?

?
How do you feel your Typhon BLX 3s 2019 handle bashing ?

Is there anything better at this price ?
Tell

I've only had mine for about 3 weeks but so far I'm liking it a lot. While I liked the raw power of the v2 and v3 6S Typhons I've owned in the past, I find the plastic-o-plenty 3S Typhon to be more nimble for the kind of driving that I do. I look forward to it not eating tires up at the same rate as the 6S versions.

As expected, the stock steering servo is underwhelming.

The top speed and torque achieved with the stock pinion (15T) are well matched for me and my motor temperatures have been about 165 F /74 C with ambient temperatures of 89 F /32 C.

Only time will tell whether it proves to be durable, though I'm optimistic.

What the hell, you got better pinion than me ?

6S versions eats tyres. Atleast the Infraction / Limitless and also Typhon 6s i have seen

I drive my Talion 6s and Typhon 3s now only
I love them both

Never underestimate the power of laziness... In all fairness I viewed the parts list on the Arrma website which shows the 15T as standard. I haven't opened up the gear cover to confirm what size it is. I should probably hold off until after summer to make any changes to the pinion size since it's not unusual for me to drive my cars during really cold winter days as well.

Are you still using the stock tires on your Arrma 6S vehicles or have you switched to something different?

Dude

i was wrong. Dont understund why i say Arrma S3 BLX Typhon Has 13 standard. SORRY
I was working alot with my Traxxas Slash 4X4 that day. I change in that car standart 13t to 16t because i put 40size real 150a 1/8 strong combo there .
In Somewhay i believe maybe S3 Buggy from Arrma has same ? HAHA crazy

My Arrma Pinion i have in box now the stock is 15t
i have count this 3times . My Wife 2times
She is good when we talk Mathematics .

15t this is stock yes.
20t if you like speedrunning
18t if you like both speed and some terrain sometimes.
22t = faster , be carefull if it is hot outside. Evening ok.
24t= fast couple speedruns,
26t= fast+ be carefull . Night time maybe ok couple speedruns
30t= very fast. Only one fast speedrun DONT DO THIS AT HOME

Even though this is technically a affordable bash rc rtr I don’t see why one would risk burning out the electronics and cost even more.

I know that couple guys drive this 3s Typhon with 20t Pinion everywhere without any heat issues. And they drive really hard. Almost full throttle alltime

Anyway if something is not 100% in your car, like one bad bearing or something, then this can be dangerous maybe do ?

18t i feel very safe with.
I drive my Arrma 3s Typhon 18t 90% of time and this works great. Just Perfect. No matter if it is 25 celcius plus outside.

If you ask me = this car should have 17t stock , and in very hot places maybe 16t only , extreme hot tropical places and also super tough terrain with better tyres like Badlands 15t should be best i think.
This depends where you live and drive i think also.

Soon we got Autumn here. it will be daily only 8-12 celcius plus, i will change to 19-20t very soon .
I want also try soon Badlands Tyres they grip much better than stock tyres, then i go down one tooth. Maybe then i need go back to 18t again Autumn.
If i like drive these tyres summertime then i need go down to 15t stock i think, maybe 16t ?

You must also think about the lipo weight.
There is 70c 3s lipos that weight 400g +
also 40c 3s lipos like 5000mah weight only 320g

Different 3s lipos weight different also:
If you have light weight lipo you can have one tooth more in your pinion easy always.
And if youy drive heavy lipo try stay to standard pinion maybe.

There is alot to know before do any mods.
Weather
What tyres
What total Weight depenting many times to different lipos
and so on

Bonus Question:
Can you someway change the front to S6 version? is this easy do? Just buy the never popout hubs and a arms ?
or do you need change axles and other things also?

RPM got cheap nice arms to this 3s
i have problem found alu parts to front. Rear alu hubs and things is easy find cheap.

Anyone know place where to buy alu front parts like hubs and so ?
please link
