Default Converting Savage 25 to electric

Hi all, I'm doing research to convert my Savage 25 from Nitro to Electric. I've had this truck for years, but haven't used it much since my kids were born. Now that they're older I thought they might get into RC cars. Anyway, I thought converting my savage to electric would be a fun project to do with my kids. I don't know much about motors and ESC's, I just use the stock motors in my electric cars. Can anyone tell me if a Redcat 2260kv Brushless Motor would have enough power for the Savage? It's the stock motor for the Redcat Terremoto V2, which is also a 1/8 scale truck. I'm looking for something used to keep the cost down and I see a couple of these at a good price. I'm looking for it to go about 40 to 45 mph and not burn it up.

hi

this is pretty heavy car i think or am im wrong
big monster, big tyres, 4wd . big stock nitro motor 4cc+ ?
This is not the smal 3.5cc trucks

then you need good strong esc. i believe. Some one other who had this car is best listen to. Im the wrong guy, i try anyway help something:
If the car weight more than 5lbs then you need minium 120 real amps esc
150a better if you want it go 45mph cold even hot summer days. This is always safe mostly for bigger 4wd monsters
how much does this car weight

Monster truck you also want 99% waterproof bl combo right?
offcourse these must been driven sometimes in wet mud

this cheap combo should work
turnigy-trackstar-waterproof-1-8-brushless-power-system-2100kv-120a.html

this combo works for shure and will be the best from this shop
x-car-beast-series-motor-and-150a-esc-combo-1-8-scale.html

there is alot good combos today. different brands , and shops .
I just show couple here, google something with same specs, and you will be happy i think
or buy one of these i write about

1:10 big monsters first one is mostly enough and work very good
1:8 big monsters second one the X CAR BEAST will be good

good luck

/ listen always to 3-4 different people before you make the final choose what to buy

Will do. Something tells me there will be multiple versions as I work out the kinks, but I'm persistent.
