Oops, looks like a part slipped through - a Spyder gen3 body appears on the Serpent EP 1/10th page ("new", but not in stock - yet) looking forward to an announcement soon:

They usually slip a lot of parts that way. It's how we found out about the 1/8 Monster Truck a few months back.

That appears to be a 4wd, the very upright front shock tower and you can just make out a drive shaft on right front and the left chub appears to have an open center for a shaft to pass through...... that said I'm sure a new 4wd would share some commonality with the 2wd. They seem to be going to he inserts on all the nitro cars, stands to reason we'd see them on the offroad stuff too

Driveshaft aside, the aluminum standoffs holding the front Shock tower (not to mention the body) gave it away, haha... but perhaps he’s running what may be an updated SDX-4 Pro Model? It seems like “Pro” is the buzzword for 2019 Serpent model updates.

Oh no worries! It was Tony’s Spyder prototype that was featured in the RCCR issue posted earlier, so the possibility wouldn’t be too far-fetched. 🙂

So the last 3 product announcements from Serpent have been pretty much two weeks apart from each other (with the Taipan having been announced on the 1st). If the new Spyder isn’t announced by the end of this week, my wallet and I will be sorely disappointed... Lol.

Seriously though, although this was featured in the above mentioned magazine over a month ago (a newer issue of RC Racer already came out), I think that the Viper 989, despite just being rumored, is likely to take precedence, given the proximity of the Worlds.... Still, I’m highly anticipating this!
