Default Armma Voltage

Cross posted from the monster truck forum, since I didn't get much response there (not surprised with 1/10 2wd)

Looking if anyone has any experience with the above mentioned Armma Voltage line (either one, seeing as they're same truck, save for tires and body) and if they're okay starter trucks or too good to be true for the price and are junk. Have some friends that are thinking of toeing into r/c, and it's just right. I know there's other stuff, but none of these guys are quite interested in that kind of investment yet. Getting started for 100 bucks is a pretty great deal. I know the batteries don't have the punch that Lipo has, but they can get extra batteries for nothing, and if they want to upgrade to a not-RTR charger (because they're all pretty bunk anyways) and LiPo, they can.

I'm more worried about the vehicle being just a rickity turd of an R/C car. Some of my research as said there's issues with the diff outdrive cups being really weak, but not sure if that's a widespread issue or just the tendency to only complain on the internet.

They've played with my 1/18th, and agree it's fun, but want something a little more stable in off pavement areas that aren't just really smooth.
Thanks for any information, guys.

Watch the second one as well. You'd be better off getting the ECX Amp MT for the same amount of money

I have the ECX amp and I beat on it relentlessly. ECX vehicles are tough, and rarely ever break. Well worth the money. At the end of the second video, Razor mentions the eBay store that he got his ECX amp at for $93.

Awesome, thanks. I'll keep those in mind.
