Transmitter wont center?

Heres what we have: a T3 with an ACE R/C Jaguar T2P TX and S1903 MG Servo. It has a Thunder Tiger RX. We noticed the truck would not track straight, so I started checkin it out. Long story, short, even out of the truck the servo will not center. If you turn left and release, it will stay left slightly, and vise versa. Put MY Futaba servo in the Jaguar equipt truck, same results. Put ACE servo in MY Futaba equipt truck, it works fine. Cant see any other culprit except the Jag TX.

Is there maybe some adjustment I can make?

Can I swap the crystals from the Jag, over to a Hitec Lynx we have, to see if it really is the Jaguar?

Man, it seems like one thing after another......

Thanks

First off your test has not eliminated the Thunder Tiger RX either. Also what frequency are you running on both radios? If they are both on the same band then it might be possible. If they are on seperate bands like 27 Mhz and 75 Mhz swapping crystals will not work.

Couldnt wait, hehe

Well, I got impatient and had to try something. So, seeing that, as you say, they were both AM 27 mhz (27.045 + 27.145 :weird: What a coinckidink, huh?), I just swapped crystals between the ACE and the Hitec, and everything works GREAT!!

Now, what do I do about the ACE? Since the Hitec came with the GT we bought, we need the ACE fixed so we can get the GT running (with out having to swap back and forth).

Thanks

Come on guys

Who's the TX tech expert in here?

All 27MHz AM x'tals are the same.(no shift difference)

Go to the Radio Shack and get a full set of X-Mod x'tals for $15

Considering how little that radio is worth I would just look into getting another radio instead of trying to get it fixed. It's a good time to upgrade to a FM computer radio version if you ever wanted to.

:weird: I already have a set of XMODS crystals, but, having crystals was never a problem.

We REALLY dont have the money to upgrade, at this point. With our level of skills, and lack of local participation, it probably wouldnt "help" a whole lot anyway.

How much is an ACE, or any other TX of comparable quality that will work in our situation, worth? I dont think Ive seen any for less than 70-80 bucks.
