Default tire VS gear ratio???

ok so I have a associated B4.1 with a 17.5 brushless and I want to use it as a offroad basher all the tires i found dont have enuff traction for dirt roads / grass.......
So I ordered some - truck tires... however once I got them i realized they are much larger diameter 5" tall vs the original 3 1/4" !!!!

So here is where the question lies:::: I'm currently running a 81 spur with a 23 pinion ;;; should I adjust the gear sizes to accommodate the larger tire size?
Should I try it? see what it does? or should I put a smaller or large pinion? spur???

You’ll definitely wanna go with a 14-16t pinion, unless you like toasted motors and ESC after 1 minute

lol looks like someone shrunk the buggy. lol

yea adjust the gear ratio. the new tires... (i think im saying it right) lowered the ratio and you need to rise it again id nock an extra tooth off just for possible hi-rolling resistant surfaces. Like grass
