It will probably have the engine centered and the main drive bones angled from the front and rear (just stirring)

Hahaha...the on-road guy makes an appearance, and ZING!

Casey will know the real school bus reference though...

R.I.P. Squisher's little truck...what happened to that thing?

LOL.....Well...the "on-road" guy has really only been the onroad guy for the past 3yrs. I have been racing Losi cars since '89.

I have managed to stay out of the 1/8th buggy surge over the past few years. I have used as my excuse that I wasn't going to run 1/8th since Losi didn't make a buggy!!! LMAO I guess that dog won't hunt anymore! hehe

I don't think that the initial design will differ from other makes that dramaticaly, certainly not, knowing the time left, to develop the thing... but Losi is Losi..and they will come up with something really nice

the 1/8 Losi buggy will perhaps use the diffs of the LST/mayhem(enclosed diffs)
but are they going for ball suspension up front, like they did on the mayhem with raisonnaly good results
or with uprights ?

with cvds or homocinetic driveshafts?

I think bigger bore shocks and longer wheelbase like the Matrix

it should have different poss. of outboard toe-in in the rear hubs
4mm pins all around, captured with inserts
strong metric screws like the mayhem and tick milled shock pistons

parts should be better reachable and quicker re-assembled than the mayhem

POOKYT - Well it's nice to see you coming back to the more fun side of R/C...not just turning back and forth, back and forth...HAHA! I'm just kidding...I go watch the Reedy ROC every year, it's cool.

I think the new buggy will bring a lot of people into fuel offroad racing that haven't been there before. It will be nice using standard hardware, and having a U.S. made car supported by a U.S. company with such a good history of support.

Even Todd Hodge said he'd like to run it when it comes out...now if it pulls THAT guy off the pavement, you know it's gonna be good!

that's a great point aaron, ya know...like, KYOSHO makes an awesome 8th scale, but finding parts for the thing has been rather difficult for many hobby shops for the past while. Jammin/Ofna also makes a sweet 8th scale, but not all the shops carry ofna/jammin parts. But, if you go into just about any hobby shop anywhere, you're almost guarinteed to see AE or Losi stuff hanging on the wall. Hence, Losi will have major league support for this car. I can't wait to see it! I think Losi is really gonna hit a home run with this car. I guess the ball is in AE's court now....

Dear Losi,

Please whatever you do, do not use American sizes on the buggy. Buggies are always and should always remain metric hardware.

AE is rumored to be working on a buggy of their own as well...it should be good.

I do think Losi's buggy will have standard hardware. I'm almost positive it won't have Mayhem/LST diffs in it though.

I think the standard hardware will be a good thing. Racers with Losi (or any U.S.) cars already will have a bunch of 4-40 stuff as it is, and Losi will still use bigger screws where needed be. It only makes sense for Losi to continue using SAE stuff since all their race cars use it.

All the top buggies come with and use Metric sized hardware. Losi is known to often use American crappy sizes. I'm saying they need to stay with what people have and like. I have a set of Metric Hudy drivers...would certainly hope I wouldn't have to go out and buy all new tools for 1 buggy that doesn't fit the normal mold.

First off how do you come off saying crappy amer. sizes when losi builds something they take forever and a couple weeks IF they do use Amer sizes i highly doubt it will be crappy. They maybe late to the market but probably to size up the competition.

I want to see the Muggy make it to production or some form of it to production.

That door swings both ways my friend!!! Having never owned a metric vehicle, I have 17 years worth of SAE screws, fasteners and tools. So, now why would I want to buy a set of tools for " 1 buggy that doesn't fit the normal mold"?
