Default Kyosho Lazer ZX7 Thread

So I thought it's time to start a thread for this great car and have a place to share setups and info's.

Here is a picture of mine. It's equipped with a LRP Flow X Speedo, LRP X22 Motor, LRP Graphene 3 Lipos and a Highest DLP750 Servo.

Default Wow...

Ive been perusing the manual and it does seem like an awesome car.

BUT... I just can't get past how ugly it looks. (Generally, not specifically yours)

I haven't seen much about the ZX7 anywhere. I run a ZX6 on low grip dirt and am really happy with it. Has the ZX7 gone the way of the RB7 and is really for high grip surfaces? It doesn't look like you can run a rear motor setup like you can in the ZX6. Is it much of a step up from the ZX6?

I haven't had the ZX6, so I can't compare...the car has the same layout like the Asso, Xray, Yokomo, with the motor in the left rear and the Lipo on the right side.
I run the car on high grip carpet and astro and it's very good. It is the current japanese national champion and has some good results in the UK and EOS in the hands of Jessica Pålsson, all in high grip tracks.

Looks good vikingen. How is it handling our tracks here in Australia? Been thinking of getting one myself.

How are these on CRC black carpet compared to some of the other wheelers?

very weak front end can't keep the steering arms or the bearing hubs from breaking, even on mild jumps on our clay track.Hopefully someone comes out with a fix...

i have been running the zx7 arms and knuckles on my zx6 with exotek c hubs since the parts became available and have only broke one so far on on our indoor clay tracks here in the midwest and on crc black carpet and are much more durable than the zx6 knuckles but have found that to light of oil or and or springs would break the zx6 components as well
