I have seen that when you lose drive to the front or rear end and keep running.

Stumbled on the (very obvious) fact that Tekno's recommendations for a oil weights for a 1/8 scale basher are in the manual... for the MT410.

The MT410 calls for:
100k front, 100k center, and 50k rear

I have 80k in front, 300k center, and 50k rear for my ET48. Based on just 1 test run, this is a big improvement. On-power steering is very aggressive, wheelies are just right, and the truck can recover from all sorts of situations (thanks to more power to all 4 tires).

Which is the big improvement? The 100/100/50 or the 80/300/50?

I am running 100/300/50 and it is so far pretty good. The rear does slide (ie break loose) a lot more though.

Less power is not an option. In fact this motor is my “training wheels” motor while I slowly work my way up to Overkill / Chainsaw levels (easily several thousand more watts)

My basic goals are being able to run 2 battery packs back to back without going over 175 degrees, with 6.5” tires and a top speed of about 65mph on medium length grass. I have most of the above already, except for being able to run multiple packs. Still need to grind down my motor mount so I can get below a 15t pinion (13 might be just right).

I am waiting for the m2c diff case to be in stock and then I will try that.

For now I think I will up the diff fluid to about 300k and keep increasing until the diff doesn’t overheat.

Anyway thanks for the advice - very helpful.

Any borkage to report yet?

So far so good. 100/300/50 front/center/rear.

Center diff seems great so far. All stock components right now. With the heavier center diff fluid it does wheely a good bit more but a lot of fun to drive.
