TLR22 3.0 Carpet to spec class.
Hey. I am new to rc racing and found a great deal on some tlr 22 3.0 one mod class version, one carpet version and a 22 3.0 sct. The mod class was the one i bought and the other 2 came with it as rollers. I am in an area where only on road carpet tracks exsist, so i was wondering what it would require for me to convert the carpet racer to a spec class clay version? Is it worth the money?Thanx for your time.

You could set the car up like this. The carpet conversion transmission is different than the clay laydown transmission so you would want to copy everything on that setup, but keep the rear hubs from the carpet conversion, and the front spindle height from the carpet setup. Then run the car at 20mm ride height. I've run a 3.0 set up like this on clay and it works very well. You will also need a ball diff, so you may have to swap out the gear diff. The diff is very important to how a 2wd works, so make sure the diff you put in there is fresh and smooth. There is a 3.0 thread and from here on out you need to ask your questions there.
