Default Another damn tire question

Looking over Proline tire compounds, where does the S compound come into play at? I understand the M and X compounds.

compounds have to do with track weather temps clay dirt carpet unit weights. super soft green for 50 degree out door racing is what I use. then when it gets to 90 out side I go blue medium there is a chart on the site from pro line and j concepts and others that explain it better then me
