Interested to know as well. I've "heard" its lighter (obviously) so it gives a lower center of gravity, in turn better handling.

On the ‘road to get’ an XE or Xe elite soon.. however the CG, and wheel base can be manipulated on all the 8ights

What center diff fluid is popular? My car is an XTE, 2250kv Hobbywing 4s, it blows the front tires up. I'm thinking the kit recommended fluid is quite weak, but I've yet to run on a track surface, just bashing so far.

If you want to slow the front down in a nut shell within respect to the rear the front differential needs to be higher CST/wt than the rear and the center needs to be at or higher than the front diff.

Interesting, maybe it won't be an issue on a track. If it is I have some thick goop to put in that center diff.

The more thick the center diff is, the more solid the center drives will be. Increasing the center without considering the front differential may actually cause the front spin faster due to the way centripetal force is applied.

If per say you want the car to unload or have more rear bias on the rear then the rear differential should be lowered in Weight (cst) in comparison to both front or center.

It may be a symptom of my having raced touring car a lot and never having raced anything with a center diff before. I see the car squat and the front tires go light, balloon up a bit, and it seems like a lot of wasted energy. I watched some videos of truggy racing and this seems par for the course.

Dropping the front using droop will keep the nose down better and transfer the weight to the rear at a lower angle instead of doing an extended lunge first before it hits the stop screw. There are a few other things that can tame the front end down but it depends on how your car is currently performing, shock position, front kick up, shock springs usually bit softer, front wheel track and scrub radius, and finally the sway bar. That being said the sway bar can be one of the most important settings for proper camber link control and feel with how the front and behaves.

Well, I filled the center diff with some 50k Ofna diff fluid, pulled every last molecule of air out of it with my vacuum pump, sealed it up full to the brim, and now the truck feels pretty good.

15k on a front heavy duty diff, 10k standard center diff, 3k standard rear diff with a lightweight ring gear usually what I run with. Have three rear diffs 2 with 3k, and one 5k. Three total centers, 8k, 10k, 15k. Two front diffs, both HD 10k, 15k.

anyone having issues with the emulsion shock seals? I just built them and 2 of the 4 shocks are leaking bad from the bleeder hole on the lower portion of the shock cap.

They do go tapered side down right?

I opened the shocks up and looks like they may of gotten seated incorrectly and are slightly warped.
