Default First paint job and shell fitting.

Happy with how this came out, just going to be hard to let it loose on the track now.

Nice job! Think about a little duct tape under the nose to slow the wear-through from the front bumper.

Absolutely, just waiting for the white paint to cure fully than I got a few spots to sure up with tape. The red is the Tamiya Metalic Red, than after one can of that I put on a base coat of Rustoleum Red for plastic followed by Rustoleum white for plastic. I read that it can take up to 2 days stop being that slight tackiness with a Rustoleum paint for plastic.

That's red?!?

Come on...Looks pink to me, albeit a hot nice metro-sexual swanky pink...

...I think I'm getting older...

Too many layers of paint will crack and chip off more easily.

Nice clean job. I’ve painted quite a few bodies in my day including ones I used to sell, I used to mask off all kinds of elaborate paint schemes but never for myself. My personal paintjobs were always 1 or 2 color jobs because that first endo always hurts and sometimes, it would result with the bed or rear fender cracking necessitating the need for strapping tape and shoo goo. I drive much more conservatively with a new body till it becomes my race/beater body.

I think the white backing might have caused the pinkish look.
