So the new chassis is "thinner" and the mud guards are different. But will the 4.0 pars bolt on the chassis otherwise? My track is abrasive and I could replace the chassis with the new one and replace the front parts as I refresh the car....or sell the 4.0 and buy the 5.0. But, will the new chassis bolt up to the 4.0 or are the hole patterns different?

Have not ran a Losi for a long time. But I race against them. We tend to tease them about ball cups coming off, and them not finishing races. My Associated don't have ball cup issues. Any word on Ball Cups, or this just a local blow out of proportion thing.

I went from the AE B6 to the TLR 22 4.0. I've run the 22 4.0 since last Spring, almost weekly on astro turf at my local track, and I have yet to have any ball cup issues. Several guys at the track are running the same car and never experienced an issue. I also can't say I've really needed to pop them off at all since building my car so maybe it's more like a rotator cuff injury, once they pop out the hold is never quite the same.

Looking to get into a another buggy. This looks promising. I haven’t seen the ball cup issue on with AE or Losi at the local track....have the look that up.

I have run a 4.0 with standard ball cups and only had two pop off in two seasons - the second time I caught the car on catch fencing which ripped the turn buckle out of the ball cup.

Ball cups have not been an issue for me, have had the car since it came out. Don't plan on running a B6 again either, looking forward to the 5.0.

I know you’re just saying what we’re all thinking, but there are still a ton of new features on this car that look great. The car won’t be as easy to work on as a B6.1, but I think the idea from TLR this time around is that there are other “details” that might matter more on the track.
Like most designs, there are some updates inspired by other cars as well as some completely new solutions to old problems (battery strap looks awesome!).

Being able to change a diff at the track during a race is a huge deal. Every other car manufacture has the easy access diff. I think Losi dropped the ball on that one. Not saying the car doesn't look good or will handle bad. It would just be nice that's all.
