Leave for 24-48 hours.

Sometimes it takes more than 48 hours for the glue to debond, there isn't a way around this.
would the acetone fumes affect the tires?

Clay compound tires don't like acetone. It causes the tire to shrink. I've witnessed a buddy turn a set of stadium truck tires into basically a set of buggy rears. He soaked them in acetone though, just the fumes should not change the tire shape. Just don't leave them in the bucket for too long. If the rubber feels a little dry after acetone fumes, spray some wd40 on them to moisturize the rubber.

I don't know about shrinking but it does turn them into useless rocks. Or at least the hardest tires I've ever held for indoor off road racing, and thus slow and useless.

Maybe you can pop them in the oven for less change in the tire, but I think it'll still significantly change the tire. Anything other than carefully cutting the tire off the wheel will likely ruin the tire for racing use.

Frank,

Do you know when the stiffezel version of the vha arms(234110) will be available? Just says backorder and next shipment on the horizon site. Would you recommend the stiffezel arms for black carpet?

This.. is going to sound a little strange. But here we go.

What's the story on the configuration of the car on the the 22 5.0 DC Elite kit? it's got a 4 cell NiMh pack a brushed motor and a Novak ESC. Is 4 cell buggy "a thing"?

Should be any day now, I was told within this month.

It's just a throw back tribute to BK. You can't fit a 6-cell pack in these newer cars, so I improvised.

Hello Frank,

Any information about availability of the 22 5.0 Elite kit in Europe?
I ordered it since it was announced, and we have no information on a release deadline...

Thanks,

I'm having dreams of a hump pack there.

.... Who's run a JRX-2 versus a 22 5.0? I want to see this... badly.

Thanks,
Horizon EU chose not to bring in stock of the 22 5.0 DC ELITE long before the announcement. They have not been available for order from Horizon in Europe.

Currently, we're working on trying to get some in stock in EU, but I'm not 100% sure yet if that will happen, and if so, when it will happen.

It's too bad that Horizon EU decided to not bring on the Elite 5.0 early in the stage. I guess it is a kit that people outside of the U.S. will drool about. I built the Elite and all I can say is "WOW". I didn't realize it in the beginning but TLR included the aluminum front spindle hex and the aluminum spindle carrier was a big plus. The car is truly an amazing kit, fit and finish to the well design with limitless adjustments like no other buggy. The only thing I wished TLR would have done was called this the JRX-3, but there will always be a next time.
