The 5.0 chassis is 0.5mm thinner, so I guess you're supposed to use a 0.5-1mm shorter screw? I dunno, I haven't ran the standup on anything.

Nice buggy. And while tlr are good quality, I find the plastics too tough. I mean in that screwing into them is a real downer for your hands.

Stand up install complete. I really think this should be included in the kit yet. Not all of us have the opportunity to run indoors. I will say this is the last Orion motor I buy it requires dermel work to mount. The build was as usual Tlr perfect. Always a pleasure to build these kits. Also thank you Bobby Z for the setup help.

For reference, we sell less than 1 stand up conversion for every 50 kits we sell, so 1/50 racers buying a kit today is looking to run stand up roughly. Raising the cost by $30 to include layout parts, for 1/50 to benefit, and 49/50 to have more cost added for no benefit would probably not be the best decision.

I understand your view, it's just the way things have gone worldwide.

From my Dex210 days, the 4 gear has the motor rotating the same direction as the wheels - when you accelerate more weight is transferred to the rear so good for very slippy/loose surfaces. I found it also gives you a car that is very throttle sensitive.

It helps the car roll more to keep from flipping as easily.

In the rear, yes, I think so. In the front, I run standard on carpet currently, and +2mm front on dirt/clay.

Maybe look into fitting slash arms onto the 5.0 then...
