I was looking at these, as well...although, I'm holding off, for now. Wanna see how it performs with the stock driveshafts first. Now, if only my SMC batteries would hurry up and get delivered.

It should just be top shaft, slipper pads, slipper plates, spring and nut

What is AD Henderson? I live in Coral Springs, which is 10 minutes south of Boca Raton.

Thanks for the replies, so my main question is do I need to change the idler gear the SR uses a different idler gear part# than the DC the DC comes with the slipper. So is The Idler gear the same amount of teeth and just a narrower version on the SR for Less spinning resistance and fatter one on the DC for mod motors or is it a different teeth count? thanks guys it would be great if Frank could chime in on this

The only thing you need to buy is what was mentioned above. The standard top shaft, slipper plates, slipper pads, spring and nut. The idler gear and diff gear are both the same. Just a narrow version in the SR kit. Since you originally bought the SR kit I can only assume you are running a spec 17.5 motor. If that is the case then you will be fine leaving the SR idler and diff gear. If you plan on bumping up to mod I would definitely get the standard idler and diff gear

Frank,
Could you explain a little about tuning with the stiff parts like rear tower, waterfall, mudguards. I know it has to do with flex but curious If the mudguards work better than the waterfall, for stiffening the car up on high bite.

I would imagine the mudguards would add more stiffness since they run almost the full length of the chassis where the waterfall only mounts to the tranny case in one spot and the chassis in one spot.

Mud guards change the chassis flex front to rear for the most part. The waterfall changes the flex in the rear more. I'm still on standard waterfall and soft mud guards.

So now I can pretty much confirm that switching the outdrive to the DC outdrives fixed my problems with the thrust bearing losing lubrication. Also, I increased the stroke on the shocks all around, put the +2mm shock ends on the front for extra droop, and taller spring cups to compensate. Car feels perfect now and I can drive it a lot more aggressively.
