When do you think it will be released?

Looks like they'll be two different kits

i dont think itll be released next month, the 8ight x just came out. But when they leak pics it usually releases a couple months right after. Regardless I thank TLR for being on top of things. Car looks good. the 4.0 was great , the new release will be much better.

Should I wait for the 5.0 to come out or get the B6.1?

Will the new steering and spindles fit on the 4.0? And maybe some other parts?

If you need a new roller fast, just buy a 4.0. Later you can still go for the 5.0. For me personally, i'm certainly not a pro level driver, but tested this year a bunch of 2wd buggy's myself. The 4.0 is for me the best jumping, landing, steering, very fast accelerating.......... the best buggy out there, period. The asso b6.1 is very good fresly build, but after a couple drivedays, the shock aren't as smooth anymore, the quality of the parts, play, is not on par with this one 4.0 and a lot of them need to replaced very frequent to keep the buggy performing at a certain level. Very good buggy, but not the quality, and easy to drive, fast buggy the 4.0 is. Just my 2 cents. Problably i'm the only TLR lover in Belgium :-)

It's a new car, there are hardly any parts left from the 4.0. Unfortunately the gearbox is one of them, but if you're in the market for a new kit, I'd still consider the 5.0 before the B6.1 if parts quality is more important to you than ease of maintenance. If other brands are also an option, you can wait for the new Yokomo kits due in January/February, which will combine all the above benefits. It's a great time in the hobby, so many nice kits out there!

Pretty cool, they pretty much addressed every single thing I wanted to see improved in the 22 line except for a 3-way split case transmission. Hopefully it gets released soon!
