On some setup sheet Ryan C. is using gen II rear hub. Anybody knows why? The difference with the actual one.

Do the Jconcepts Swaggers 2.2 Pre-Mounted 2WD front Buggy Carpet Tires (JCO3137-101011) fit directly onto the 5.0 ? or is the "front end mod" that I keep hearing about necessary to make these work..

Those pre mounts require the front end mod to work.

The tires wonít rotate when tightened all the way? If thatís what youíre asking, I dremel off some material on the rear of the wheel. You can also run 22SCT 3.0 front axles.

You should be running the sct front axles when doing the front end mod.

From the shoulder that rests against the bearing to the back of the hex, there's 3 different off-sets. 2mm, 4mm, and 6mm. These were all used on the B5, T5, and SC5M.

I have been wanting to try the standard carbon tower on my setup but standard carbon towers are out of stock for couple more weeks. I was thinking wouldn't running the 2mm longer shock ends with the +2mm tower be the same thing as running normal ends with a standard tower. To me either way you are playing with 2mm of droop and up travel.

The only other difference you would have by doing that would be that the center of gravity would be a little higher in the car due to the shock setting 2 mm higher as well. If you are real interested in trying the standard towers you might be able to get away with using composite. If you don't like the setup you're not out of a lot of money for the carbon fiber shock towers

Vision Racing RC makes -2 shock towers for the 22 5.0.

They also make a conversion to use the 22x-4 rear arms.
