Never knew it made a difference. Nice build. When I had my 22's I mounted one transponder right on top of the servo and on another vehicle it was mounted vertical on the back of the servo. No issues for me. Could not tell the difference.

cool ill run it as is. the rc4 manual suggests avoiding pretty much everything we mount these transponders to in rc cars, found it kinda funny

An issue with my 5.0 AC.
After a long curve my car wants to keep turning and goes towards the inside pipe.
Is it because it lean to much and the inside wheel get loose? Or diff issue?
I am not running the +2 tower and have 31 as rear stroke.
Running on rough Astro with dart. I had the same issue on low grip carpet.
Why on standard setup sheet stroke is 28 and everybody runs 31?

I just had that issue last night. The fix was tightening the diff.

It’s an AC. He is using a gear diff. Most likely you have too much body roll. The kit has the swaybars backwards. 1.3 in front, 1.0 in the rear causes the car to over rotate and push. You’ll need a swaybar kit and use a 1.4 in the rear and .9 in the front. Kit setup is aweful and needs a ton of tuning. Good luck.

You add roughly 2mm to the stroke to compensate for the +2 carbon towers per Frank. I run the +2 towers front and rear on my AC and added 2mm to both front and rear shocks.

I have a dumb question. I am trying to set up a 5.0 Elite using one of Frank Roots set up sheets and he has his battery in the #4 position. Which is it...4th screw mounting hole from front of car (moves battery forward) or 4th from back of car (moves battery back)? Or is it simply battery position all the way forward is 1 and all the way back is 5 or ?

1 is all the way forward, 5 is all the way back.

If you look at the set-up sheet it is on there. How I learned. Manual should also have it

Just got back into RC with an Axial SCX10ii I'm currently building and had the itch to do 2wd buggy again. Had a TA B5 and SCT10 roughly 4 or so years ago.

So ordered up the TLR 22 5.0 Elite and went ham on the setup so it's future proof. Unfortunately, I'll be running carpet/astro here in GA since there aren't too many indoor dirt tracks if any. Atleast when I was in AZ, they had Warehouse 3, SRS, and now Hobby Action's new track so I'll be hopefully driving up there with this buggy if not build another TLR for there. I was originally going to go for an AC since that is what I would be running, but the Elite had all the extra hop-up parts so it was a win win.

--Carpet setup

-Tekin RSX Pro w/Gen 3 R 17.5
-Savox Cavalieri
-Protek 2S Shorty 4900 mAh
-Not sure on gearing, but trying one TLR driver's 29/72 gearing.
-Schumacer wheels/tire combo w/mod rear spacer.

Still deciding on what transmitter. I used to run a Sanwa MT-S, but might either choose an M12RS or M17.

Interesting gearing. How big is the track you're running on? Track I run on is about 12-13 seconds average lap time and I'm currently geared 26/72 for a 6.73 FDR.

On the gearing, is that person also running an R-Spec? Remember that those motors should be geared down about 10% from a typical stock motor.

front end width will likely be all wrong if you use Schumacher wheels on the front due to very different offset. Schumacher Rear wheels are similar, maybe need 1mm spacers.
