I'm a little confused as to which brass c-block I need, I have a 22 5.0 DC its not the elite but I see two part numbers. 334065 or 334053? What is the difference between the two?

053 is the one you want for a regular 5.0. The difference between the blocks is that the new, Elite version uses square pills instead of the oval ones. It allows for .5 and 1 degree changes in 8 different directions, with the center position giving you 3 deg. Toe-in and 2 deg. Anti-squat.

When running a mod (9.5t) motor do you guys run a fan or not? I'm used to rear motor so fans are new to me, other than my B6.1D with a 17.5. I know adding timing makes it hotter but if you keep it in the stock position on a mod should I still run a fan or is it a waste of time?

Depending on your gearing and how much load your motor is being placed under will dictate motor temps. (load being track conditions, a wet slicks track will create a lot more heat than a low grip pin track in my findings) You will need to make that judgement on motor temps as a motor running too hot will most likely not have the same feel in power towards the end of the run or worse, lose its smoke aka burn up.
Personally, I prefer not to run a fan with a 7.5 unless I absolutely need to. I actually, believe it or not, feel the car handles better without a motor fan on it.

Anyone know if you can just get the Direct Drive top shaft by itself or can you only get it from the Direct Drive kit?

I found this part number TLR232082, looks like it is the correct part...can anyone confirm?

I think the shimming is meant to get the draglink perfectly straight left/right. So whatever you need for that, I run my Savox 1258TG without shims, even though I think the manual says to shim Savox servos.
