Yokomo YZ-2T 2WD ST truck

- Yokomo CAL3.X / SO 1.0 style steering rack pieces (newer YZ2T chassis come drilled already if you can get them)
- AE 13mm truck shock upgrade
- AE Front and rear gullwing T6.2 a-arms
- Yokomo CAL3.1 / SO 1.0 front C hub carriers
- Yokomo CAL3.1 / SO 1.0 front steel +1mm front bulkhead
- Yokomo YZ4SF2 / MO 1.0 rear hub carrier allowing height adjustments
- Yokomo 3.5mm hingepin and insert update (as AE arms use these)
- Yokomo CAL3.1 / SO 1.0 front one piece side guards
Basically anything that the newer CAL3.1 / SO 1.0 / Y4SF2 / MO 1.0 uses and is the same type of part put on this car, and then leverage the more common AE stuff at least for truck a-arms for ease of availability and more durability.
If the chassis thing doesn't work out, May leverage a "short chassis' style truck using the longer CAL3.1 chassis as I have a few extras here and it appears they are 5mm shorter than the truck chassis.
In the end, the only really truck specific parts you would have to have that are not part of the other yokomo vehicles / commonly available (like a truck body) would be:
- Shock towers
- Body mounts
- that little side guard extension thing
- truck axle for front, 8mm hex rear
- turnbuckles for length
- Chassis if must have the truck length chassis

You mention an hingepin update. Do you mean to use the same hingepins as the DTM/CAL 3.x/SO1.0? Is this inner and outer?
Also, is seems the shock towers have become unobtanium.
The chassis have gone the way of the dodo as well. What difference does the steering rack change make?
I was able to fine a new in box kit and I have not built it yet. Looking for what I should do as I build it up.

Right now assuming all goes right, it will be set up with the following:

That is correct on the hingepins and the hingepin inserts, inner and outer.
Yeah not sure on the shock towers or chassis stocking, I do know of some people who are willing to make shock towers as they do make these for the other Yokomo lineup, there own take on them.
From what I am hearing sounds like the car is easier to drive, not being so darty I believe.
For your build up I'd say it depends on what you are wanting to use it for and your plans as far as parts, etc. I like being able to share parts with my other vehicles so being able to use parts from the CAL3.X/SO.1 and YZ4SF2 / MO 1.0 where applicable, so updated to match up with that. Same as having the option for the chassis to bolt up current steering racks as well from the buggy too. If your plate doesnt' have the holes and you want that, there is a guy on the facebook forum who is doing the drilling for like $10 + shipping I believe.
I hope to get things put together here sometime next week.

For the shock towers, there are companies that offer machining services for CF online: https://hillsidecomposites.com/ personally, I'm trying to get setup to where I can 3d print nylon/abs and maybe even get a small desktop CNC to where I can buy CF remnants and make whatever I want/need. I think Factory Foote, Factory RC, and maybe some others made yz2t shock towers
I also think predator rc motorsports could do some towers as well, they did the front bulkhead brace for the yz4sf2 / MO 1.0

Been thinking about letting mine go as it never gets used. Shame because it only has a few hours of use.

nice track!
Locally here it will be on an outdoor turf track (using grizzly grass indoor / outdoor carpet) so a bit higher traction than normal turf . From there will see about using it indoors on carpet as well. I personally prefer 4wd though so will see how I mix it in to my other vehicles I have (2wd buggy, 4wd buggy, 4wd 1/10 truggy) for 1/10 stuff.
For al lthose looking to keep these going, I'd say if you want to keep it going, the a-arm mod is probably the main thing to do for more usage. It be cool if Yokomo could reconsider these as in general the main issues were / are the a-arms, same as we saw with the YZ4SF before they redid the a-arms.
Could make a "TO 1.0" Super Fun Truck #1
