So not calling anyone out directly . . . but brand loyalties are just that . . . brand loyalties. I suggest buying the latest model car you can, since carpet has only recently started catching on. As to which one, go the car's thread here (like the 22 4.0, or B6.1) and ask your question about what works and does not work on carpet. I am sure some people have struggled running a 22 4.0 on carpet, but not everyone . . . the B6 is easy choice because it is specifically designed for carpet, you likely get most of what you "need" in one box. Keep that in mind though everyone has their own opinion on what is really need'ed for any car. You can likely get a 22 2.0 to work, but you may or may not like the result, I would ask around . . . even better if you ask around your own track. if you opt for new do some research on what the popular cars are at the track, and likely it is better because you have someone who can actually help you out . . .
