How long have you been using Simple Green for rc tires? Back in 2013 they took 2-butoxyethanol out of Simple Green. 2-butoxyethanol is a solvent. They also stopped using Oil of Wintergreen (an ingredient used in tire sauces that softens rubber). New recipe Simple Green will not hurt your tires, but it will not make your tires as soft and sticky as old Simple Green. Trust me as someone who lived through the transition. I use only water in my tire wash, it works and it is free.

if your looking for that stuff they have tire "sauces that will get you what you want or you can probably order a bottle of oil wintergreen. If the water works for you, then all is good , use it.
