Default Rock Crawler tires for Rock Racer?

I have a Losi Rock Rey and would like different tires. I don't do any crawling with my Rock Rey, but can I use rock crawler tires on it? Or would rock crawler tires be too soft (both the rubber compound and foam)?

Default U4RC

If it is anything close to my U4RC race truck, 10lb axial yeti, then the pitbull growler tires in pap compound were great with dueces wild foams in them. Hard enough for the track and soft enough to grip any terrain whether it be rocks or loose sand. The tires lasted for quite a while too.

Most U4RC racers are running proline hyrax tires

Crawler tires will work great on a rock racer as long as you get the appropriate foams. Most crawler foams are way too soft and will allow the tires to roll over in turns. You want a firm, single stage foam. The vast majority of rock racers use the Crawler Innovations Deuces Wild foams. I have those in my Yeti and I'm very happy with them.

As for the tires themselves, Hyrax are very popular, as are the Voodoo U4 tires. Right now on my Yeti I run the stock Yeti kit tires, but with the Deuces Wild foams, and I'm very happy with their performance.
