Default Euro’s at Reims

Out of curiosity are any of you Americans watching the Euros which are happening atm on RC Racing Tv. It is the venue for next years worlds.

I raced there last year and it’s a super compacted surface which isn’t clay. Very stoney, almost 8th scale surface but very compacted and smooth.

Ronnefaulk won the 2wd with his B6.1, sorry Hb219 and he’s just tq’ Rd1 of 4wd with his Hb418

Yeah, I've been watching and there has been some great racing.

It's a shame there has been little coverage of the event.

Most the European pages and sites are, we have been spoiled I guess. Rc Racing tv have been streaming everything since Monday morning. Also the European news pages have been regular updates too

I don’t see how HB can keep pulling this bait and switch with their 2wd buggy. The car Ronnefaulk ran for several wins the last couple years was a far cry from a D216 and now his champion prototype looks like a thinly disguised B6.1d. I know HB can make great 4wd cars so why not a 2wd?

What exactly is “b6.1” about his buggy? Aside from using what looks to be associated shocks. The b6/6.1 wasn’t the first buggy to have that same front end. Yokomo, kyosho,Xray all did it before Associated. The rear end/transmission of his car is nothing like any of the above mentioned. Hb racing stuff has always been unique. It’s Associated that hasn’t been able to design there own stuff since the rc10.

His car is roughly 80% a B6.1 right now. I'll try to find a pic where this is clearly visible. He was running HB shocks, rear arms and perhaps some rear end/transmission parts but the chassis and front end are purely Associated.

you completely missed my point. They can’t be “associated” when associated just copied the design of multiple other cars on the market. Ever held a yz2 chassis on top of a b6? Also show me where on the b6 trans is there aluminum bulkheads. If anything the rear end looks more like a dex210f. So again aside from shocks and a front end used by kyosho/Xray/yokomo all before team Associated. There isn’t much in common with other cars. How much can you really redesign arms? Or ballstud mounts. Of course there will be similarities, but no one makes knock offs more than Team Associated.

That’s the old car that had very little to do with the D216 that he allegedly was running.

That looks like the car they gave it up on in the back.

that’s the car he ran at worlds. Which yes, has nothing to do with the d216 which has been scrapped. I wasn’t saying it was like the d216. I was pointing out that it has very little in common with the b6
