Ahhh, such great news. It is good to see Kyosho releasing new kits. Now I have a really good reason to call my favorite hobby shop later today to put in an order, RB7 and a M17...

p.s. I want a SC-7 really bad

Cheaper than the rb6.6 at 369.99! The rb6.6 was 399.99!
Was is the correct term. Just bought a 6.6 from Amain for $260 shipped. Its currently on sale plus used a coupon code I found. Online shops are trying to blow out the older car, which means a great deal for those who do not need the latest release.

looking at the pics, in particular this one:

It looks like they are using ball cups that don't have pass-thrus on them? do Kyosho's ball studs not have hexes in them to adjust with an allen driver, like other cars?

If you want hex ball studs with passthrough cups you can get the Lunsford titanium ball studs and the super duty titanium turnbuckle kit. Tebo runs these all his cars. The RB6.6 kits will work on the RB7.

Is there an advantage this setup versus what seems to be standard on other cars?

Sorry just trying to get a feel on how kyosho does things with there 1/10s.

Lastly, any news on an RT7?

Caution, acid! The same advantage as not including adjustable height C-hubs: cost savings for the manufacturer.
I don't want to spoil any Kyosho fan's excitement about the new car, but I am disappointed in any manufacturer releasing a new kit that does not include current state-of-the-art features or at least well established standard items. IMHO proper ballstuds/ballcups should be a no-brainer, and adjustable height front and rear hubs and an easy access gearbox are a must. It is a pity that the only outstanding feature seem to be Kyosho's brilliant shocks. Yokomo's last YZ-2 releases already were a bummer for me, but the RB7... At least Kyosho continue to release new 1/10th scale kits, that's something!

Default SCT 7

Hey getting back into RC racing after a 4 year break. Is there any rumors or speculations as to when there will be a release of a new SCT?
