Default Hobbywing WP860 "Boat Mode"?

The Hobbywing WP860 ESC has a setting called "Boat Mode". I can't find any information about what this does. Can anyone explain it to me?

Realise this ESC is for brushed motors only, but heres the manual. All it really says is boat mode has special algorithms for boats.

Yeah, I know it's for brushed motors only. And the manual offers no useful explanation. I can't find any explanation elsewhere either. That's why I was hoping someone here could explain.

Is that all? It's nothing more than normal ESC operation with the reverse speed turned down?
