Anyone know if the steel spur from the MBX8 nitro kit is a direct drop in for the Eco?

I"ve been running emulsion shock caps for a while and prefer that feeling. I'm using Sworkz caps with TLR inner seals.
I practiced today and played with the lower hub setting... I've tried that before and didn't like it. Tried it again today and confirmed I didn't like it, so I'm partial to running my buggy with the top hole on the rear hub. I feel good with my setup, I'm only trying things now to help confirm in my mind how the setting changes the cars characteristics.

I did some more going-over of the buggy. I got the rear end super silky smooth. Now I am working on the front and just like the rear, at first glance it seems OK, but there is just that little friction. I found the bind this time in the hinge pins. They are moving with the arms and rotating in the pills. That's not how they work, the arms are supposed to rotate around the pins. I have a 4mm arm reamer on order. It's really amazing how smooth it is even with this problem. Just like the rear, I bet the difference will be huge though. I made a video on it if anyone is interested.

I have noticed that many electric buggys are running Hobbywing XR8 Plus ESC. I'm curious because I'm running HW XR8 SCT for one and a half year now and it works perfect. There is no lack of power. XR8 SCT is smaller , lighter, cheaper and I noticed that it even has a bit smoother control compared to XR8 Plus.
I run XR8 Plus on my MGT7 Eco where the loads are higher and the temperature goes up to 114°c!

and although I never tried the SCT, the Plus definitely is more raw and has a lot of punch compared to my Tekin. I tame the acceleration with the Expo on my TX.

Motor and ESC survived. Motor was around 105°c.
This extreme heating problem started this year. Last season I didn't have any problem. I run 37,5% break, punch is set to 1, full sensor mode, turbo timing 10°.
My friend also runs MGT7 Eco with the same ESC/motor and has the same problem. On the last race he didn't finish one final round due to capacitor overheating.
On my buggy ESC temperature never goes over 80°c. I cool the motor with 40mm fan and it stays below 90°c.
All temperatures are measured with HW program box.

With the kit gearing, my Hobbywing XR8 plus esc never got over 130f and the 1900Kv HW Xerun motor never got over 145f. This was on a large track too.
