Go to petitrc and look at the pictures of Brent Thelke's truck from TRCR. Its all there in pictures what he ran.

Just happened to go to Tower today and saw the T6.1 was available, so I bought one. Never finished my B6D that I bought a couple of months ago and now I have another project. Sweet!!

Watch out in the manual, it says the stroke of the shocks should be 21 front, 28 rear. That is very wrong. Those are for the buggy. Try and thread the end all the way like that, and you'll punch through it. It has to be at least 27 front and 35 rear.

I run on carpet / astro so looking to switch to the laydown trans with a gear diff.
I'm looking at the 6.1 Gearbox Configuration chart and I see that I need the 91716 - B6 Idler Gear and the 91791 B6.1 Laydown Gearbox, but I don't see where it says what gears I need to go in the laydown case. Does anyone have this listed out?

Everything else you need is included in the kit. The top shaft, idler gear shaft, and differential are the same. All you need is the larger idler gear 91791, laydown gearbox, and the gear differential if you don't want to use the included ball diff.

The gear differential is where I'm stuck / confused. Is there a kit I need to buy with all the right parts? or do I need to piece this together using the B6 as a guide?

the top shaft from your layback transmission will fit the laydown. So you should just need the laydown case and B6 idler (39 tooth) gear to make the switch which you have the part #. Plus the gear diff. If you want to have both transmissions built and ready then you would need this top shaft 91799 also.

Team Associated B6.1/B6.1D Gear Differential Kit is the correct kit for anyone looking. I'll have mine tomorrow so I'll know for sure! Thanks, everyone!
