On my Exotek T6 I am able to mount the shocks on the front using the Jconcepts Finnisher T5M body. Have to use the shortest bolts and the B6 aluminium shock mounts. Leave the tower on the back side of the transmission and space things out right and the shocks will not bind.

AE put some the of the T6.1 parts up today. I am only waiting on the chassis, rear A arms, 91mm dog bones, and body mounts and I will have everything to build a T6.1 using a T5M body. Have layback and 3 gear stand up ready and waiting.

Ruddog received the T6.1 body yesterday, so I reckon the kits are not that far off.

The T6.1 chassis, dog bones, and body mounts put up today. Will have them Thursday. Only thing I am waiting on now are rear A arms. Have the front end of the truck together and waiting on the chassis. I will assemble the T6.1 with T5M rear A arms until the 6.1 A arms are up. Building it with the 3 gear stand up as it is out door season and I am running on non sugured loose tracks. Loving the Exorek conversion with the 4 gear, so I have a 4 gear built for the 5.1 also. Have my B6.1 fairly hooked up with the 3 gear stand up, so I have hope the T6.1 will work well with it also.

I drove one on carpet last Saturday. It's pretty fun. So much easier to drive than a 2wd buggy ....not as agile though.

So just to verify all we need to get the standup going is the case, motor plate, top shaft and idler? and hopefully the gear cover comes with the truck like it did the buggy.

Yes, minus the idler. The layback uses the same idler as the standup. Only the laydown is different.

I would look at the differences in the B6.1 and B6.1D. Sway bars, springs, steering bushings, laydown transmission case, gear diff. Those items should get you very close.

cheers..for sure..let hope after this weekended Brent might post what changes he made on its debut race...i have a gear diff to put in and thinking maybe harder springs....do you know what is involved in making layback into laydown apart from the casing? cheers.

Yes, the case and the laydown idler gear.

My local track believes they will have one for me Thursday (5/24). I like to start with a setup sheet, from a Pro running a similar track? I don't see any, anywhere? Do we know what is needed when purchasing? We race 13.5. Different Spur?
