On my Exotek conversion T6 on clay I have been running them on the front. But the outdoor track I race on is dirt and alot looser. So I imagine I will have them on the back also. Also might want to grab a 3 gear stand up for that track. The team guys at motorama was running the 3 gear there. Plus it gives you a gear cover for the pinion and spur. I already have the 3 gear stand up waiting on my 6.1 to arrive.

Not that I am aware of, I have a T5M (dialed for medium to low grip) (not listed), the XT2, a B6D (not listed), and a bunch of Yokomo/XRAY vehicles. They all serve a purpose as to what tracks I decide to visit. Run what works for you. Screw the haters who say you have to run a certain brand. Truck looks good. Will be fun to run and tweak it to my driving style.

I would spend the extra money to have both transmissions and gear/ball diffs in the box.

I have zero interest in a gear diff so I'm glad I'm not paying for one. They can't make a perfect kit for everyone . . .

I do wish it came with the aluminum front pivot like the new buggy does though

Front bulkhead? The B6.1D doesn't come with that.

Wonder if you can mount the rear shocks in front of the tower. The body looks like it's meant to accommodate that.

First page it was stated that they can be, the info was from AE facebook page I guess.

Yes AE stated on facebook that the shocks could be mounted in front of tower and A arms or behind, when asked if the T5M bodys would fit. The T5M body will not fit due to this adjustment per AE. On my Exotek T6 I have been able to mount the shocks both ways, just have to adjust the body mounts to move the body forward or backwards to accommodate which position the shocks are mounted.

I built my Exoteck in Dec, plan on using it as my out door summer, carpet in winter truck. Have 1 T6.1 coming and it will be my indoor clay truck. Worse comes to worse and I like the T6.1 that much better I will buy the chassis, side rails, and A arms for my Exotek truck. So far I love my Exotek truck though. Also have the Vision conversion on a B6 chassis, running it on carpet and it is awesome. For it I am going to by the chassis and side rails, put a B6 4 gear in it for my Daughter, she currently has a T4.1. She will also be getting updated from her SC10 RTR to my SC5.1M also.

I just bought one Sunday!! Hahaha!!

I don't care, because the XT6 looks to be a great option, and I'll just pick up a T6.1 in the summer or before the winter season... Enjoy your XT6, Exotek makes some sweet gear.
