Default Traxxas Rustler VXL sand tires

Need some help? I ordered some 2.8 sand tires and wheels that they offer from Traxxas and they are huge, installed they look ridiculous but states on the package there for the Rustler, want some good sand tires for front and rear but clueless what size to order?

There use to be several companies that made 2.2 paddle tires.

2.2" is standard for ST's, this is the size tire I would get:

Never realized how hard it is matching up tires and trying to find the right size and what will work

should be pretty straight forward.... your car is a 1/10 ST and you need standard 1/10 ST tires and there are tons of aftermarket 2.2 wheels with the Rustler offset.

Would you happen to know what the offset is

while that might make sense for all manufacturers to use the same offset, Traxxas uses their own proprietary offset so you just need to select 2.2" wheels that are labeled to be compatible with the Rustler, here is an example:
https://www.amainhobbies.com/jconcep...o3336b/p198876

*** It won't do you any good to know what the offset is anyway because wheels are not sold by that metric, only by proprietary compatibility.

Take a look at the HPI sand thrower 2.2 sand paddles . Ive had a set for 4-5 years and use them every time I go to the dunes they work really well especially with the front sand runners . I have them mounted on RPM Revolver wheels which you can get in the correct offset . it looks pretty bad a$$

I also have Proline Sling shots and Mohawks for my slash and they work very well too . You would need the correct 2.2/3.0 SC wheels to run them on . Ive used them on my rustler and they dont look silly at all .
