13.5 Wheeler question

Oh, cool. That's good news. 4wd buggy is a great class. Weird that there's a stock 4wd buggy, though. (might be fun to sand bag there)
4wd SCT has been toast for a while now. It inevitably turned into Ebuggy and nitrobuggy.

Our last big race, indoor clay, we had just as much, if not more 13.5 4x4 buggy as stock 2wd buggy. It is nuts.

The eb410 will definitely be a bit different in handling characteristics but it is one of the easiest 4x4 buggies to drive with the stock setup. It can use a couple of upgrades off the bat like Aluminum shock caps and an aluminum servo horn, but it is all worth it when you feel it on track.
The Xb4 will probably be just as easy to work with and will be as durable if not more so, however parts cost is sky high so simple maintenance things like rebuilding shocks or replacing outdrives can get very expensive if you run on abrasive surfaces like hard clay or dirt that require a lot of maintenance.
The b64d, well it's pretty okay Parts cost is good, it handles pretty nice according to reports and parts should be easy to come by. But it doesn't have the pizzazz that the Tekno does

At our club, the fastest drivers are running XRay, but often see 1-2 more Tekno's make it into the AMain when comparing competitive brands (where Tekno does well for the average joe drivers, like me ), very rarely do we see an Associated make it into the A (often to a C or D main), though no team drivers for Associated in our area for this class.
I visited a track in New Mexico over Christmas break and they had 90% Associated cars at that track... If I was to run at that club regularly, then I'd probably switch from Tekno to Associated just to get local parts support and local setup advice at that track, they currently don't offer any support for Tekno (or XRay).

From the options you listed, I think either the Tekno or the Associated will suit you well from performance to replacement parts cost comparison.
I would also suggest don't go too hog wild with upgrades initially. Just get stuff from a durability perspective, run the vehicle till you feel consistent, and then see what will help you take the performance to the next level.

so does Associated normally start with 0 for their initial release?
Meaning the current version is called B64.0 to be technical?
I only ask because I'm a little more familiar with how Tekno has been naming their cars, so I've been referring the EB410 as the EB410.1
I would expect their second release to be the EB410.2 because that's how they've been numbering all their other releases to date.

First the B6.1 because that's there bread and butter then a B64.1 comes in a few months. I trust the people I heard it from a lot more than you. Besides I dont think there is any debate an updated B6 is coming with the all the new clear parts being shown on social media. The new gear box is gonna be a huge upgrade.
