had a few big scale vehicles here, they were always the most fun (MCD RRV4, Redcat Rampage MT, Savage converted to 1/5 scale Alza conversion), most fun was the Savage as it was lightweight but rumbled nice.

This would be fun out on my father in laws ranch. Maybe even do some FPV lol.

I mostly want this because I have a co-worker who put over $3000 into his gasser Losi 5t and he swears up and down that I can't beat him with one of my electric cars. Well this may be just the ticket to prove him wrong And it'd do so on a similar scale at least instead of having to smoke him with my 1/8 e-buggy.

I think for the Pricepoint its probably a great investment. given years ago I spent over 2000$ on my FG Marder. 4wd, brushless is such a huge bonus.

I hope and wish that all 1/5 related tire packages work.

i agree it's not terribly priced at all. And from BigSquidRC's review the electronics seemed to be up to the task of running on 6s. So I imagine you can probably even upgrade the motor a bit with the stock ESC and be just fine. Then just slap in an SMC 6s lipo for some bashing fun I just need to decide whether I want a new camera or a new RC car come tax time haha

Depending on what constitutes beating him, heck, you could probavbly do that easily enough with your EB410. Drop in a hot mod motor, and if its track speed it will feel nice and wide open with your eb410. Straight line speed, gear the heck out of it

The only clarification I need is, that it is indeed running 1.5 Mod, and not Mod1 pinion / spur.

The faux brakes make me wonder how soon before a set of Hydro's is available.

I think the wheels are 20mm and not standard 1/5. I also think the esc might be 8s capable.

Pinion gears look like mod 1.5

Well he wants to do it on a rutted out area so I was going to use the eb48sl I have with the bigger tires/wheels and run a 4000kv HW motor on 3s. He just wants to setup a cone or something a hundred yards out that we drive out to and then haul ass back as quick as we can. I told him that's not even gonna be a problem for an electric car but he's committed Last time we had an opportunity to settle this he killed his engine so I've been waiting for him to do a rebuild. But he may find I have a new toy to contend with by the time he fixes his truck hehe

Well then, the Outdrive shafts on the universals then is 5mm, vs 6mm as found on the 1/5 Losi vehicles. guess one could fit a .5mm Wall thinckness 6mm sleeve and run the 1/5 Hex Drives and then tires. Just not sure of offset.

I think this is a good avenue of approach, even if you bash, this chassis to some extent has some race potential. I will order one as well, but their shocks are getting trashed! This chassis can be calmed and traction improved.

I'm gonna wait and see what people find as the weak points then see if I can actually afford to upkeep this thing lol.

I think it will do pretty well, that front end is like the old Schumacher Cat.

... am curious, why there is a "mid Transmission" instead of a Motor to center diff setup like on the 1:8 buggies.

And would not be surprised if it is offered later with a Gas Motor ala' the Dynamite .30 gas motor.

The diffs with slipper plates is a pretty cool setup, no slipper needed at the transmission. My FG was stout, so who knows, even with the arms inserts, maybe something will come later i.e. Carbon parts, bypass shocks, and rear diff options.

I really hope they fixed the rear diff pinion housing the 1/10 has. The aluminum part fixed it. But could be an expensive upgrade on this size. That’s my concern.
