Definitely going to have to get me some softer arms for this car! Two race nights and 2 broken front arms. Tonight brushed the wall on the left side and broke a left front arm. Get that repaired and let a local fast guy drive it. He made three laps and got a right rear arm. So I really need to figure out which arms are more flexible/durable.

So are these the arms that are more durable and fit the Yz4SF?

I look at Mayfields set up for CRCRC and he even bites he is using Greg L5 rear arm but I don’t see anything about the front. I would assume he is probably using the F1 arm as well.

So as the person before me asked. In order to use the more durable arms on a YZ4SF, you need all of these items?

YOKZ4-008RL5

YOKZ4-300LRF
YOKZ4-300LRR

Anything else while I am ordering to make it all work? I am the only one around here running yokomo, so asking someone at the track is not an option!

Has anyone mounted a fan for their motor yet? If so what mount and fan did you use? How did you mount it? Any pics?

I just used shoe goo and stuck it to the chassis in the back. Not ideal but the car runs cool in 13.5.

Default 13.5 spur

Anyone running 13.5? What spur do you use? Does anyone use an 78? If so from where? Ive heard a company can make an adapter to fit an AE onto the yokomo.

YZ4 +1 graphite/Comp flat front a arms are insanely strong. Have had them on my YZ4 belt forever and have never experienced a break.

You don’t need the rear hangers

rear suspension mounts (YOKZ4-300LRF, YOKZ4-300LRR)

Do I need to get different drive axels too?

You don’t need different rear hangers. Per the front universals you can use the kit universals.

I ran the stock spur and a 29 tooth pinion. Ran fine no problems. I did have to file out the motor slides to get it to go that far out but it wasn't much. Stock the car is way heavy for stock racing though

I run stock spur as well in 13.5. No issues.
It is a bit heavy. Gonna use some bd8 plastic gears in the diff next time out to test.

I didn’t have any issues keeping up with other cars though.

Some people say you do need them and others claim you do NOT? Sure makes it confusing? For those that say you do need them on the YZ4SF....How are the mounts different than the kit mounts?

I'm not sure why you would need the RF and RR suspension mounts. I have the Z4-008RL5 arms on mine right now and they work perfect.

I'm running a 78S AE ASC9652 with a 25 pinion and only running two pads with metal washer to take up the space for the third slipper disc. Works great.

Running my new YZ4SF on black CRC carpet. It is built to carpet/Astro instruction manual specs. The car is really pretty good but wants to dip the front end and carry the inside rear wheel under braking and hard cornering. What front springs are more firm that the kit purple? Not sure if these kit springs are RP springs or Yatabe???? Or should I try heavier oil up front to try to keep the car from transferring the weight under braking?
