Old tires will become brittle, Imex has a lot of vintage tires to choose from still. old tires once they lose their narural oils go south fast.

I wonder if you can rehydrate with some water and bag them. or some thing like mineral oil. The mineral might damage also over a long time.

Id have to say your best source would be to inquire with the guys in the vintage forum. Aside from that the only ones that may know are on RC10talk given that its all about vintage cars.
