Depends upon what the fast tire is at that track. Though I'd be curious as to proline's new tire. https://www.bigsquidrc.com/pro-line-...m-truck-tires/

I I just purchased the new carbon fiber chassis braces I am curious which one, the thick or the thin brace is being used in the kit. All answers are greatly appreciated thank you

Recently built a TLR 22T 4.0 and at the end of the build have 4 black plastic spacers or washers which I can’t identify. These are about 12 mm in diameter (roughly) with a center hole that is nearly the size of an axle (smaller than a body post). Flat on one side with a shallow chamfer on the other side.

What am I missing? Where should I be using these 4 black plastic washers?

Hey All, I'm looking at picking up a 22T 4.0 since it is on sale right now, but I'm getting the feeling there could be a new version coming out soon. It looks like a lot of parts are discontinued and I also noticed the TLR 22 5.0 DC/AC/spec cars are also discontinued. Does this mean there are new models coming and should I wait? Thanks

Going to be running my 22t on carpet. What’s a good starting point for shocks and springs?

I found this to be a good starting point, on black carpet at least:

I just installed the 22 5.0 top shaft into the 22T 4.0 transmission and upgraded to the SHDS slipper assembly to go with it, however am not able to tighten the slipper without it slipping too much. At this point I assume that the standard slipped pads are not adequate and that the SDHS “Max Torque Slipper Pads” (TLR232081) are needed for the 22T truck. Any advice?

Almost sounds like you're missing the spacer maybe? TLR232083 I started with a 22 5.0 Elite and the stock pads work fine for me running a 13.5.

1bluspark— I agree with chocotaco, make sure you have the red spacer on the shaft first then the plates pads spur spring washer and nut. If running the ball diff make sure it is tight enough that it is not slipping. Hope this helps.

Default Setup for EOS carpet and Schumacher tires

Asking for a friend: does anyone have a reasonable starting setup for running on EOS (that is, high-grip) carpet using Stagger Rib Yellow fronts and Mini Pin Yellow rears? The front tire seems to have quite a bit too much grip in general so it needs to be tuned out. However, I really don't know the car. The kit setup appears too soft at first sight and Frank Root's carpet setup on petitrc uses very different tires.

Tried finding out by reading through the thread but couldn't find a definitive answer. Does the 22 5.0 trans case fit the 22t 4.0?

Slow to flow up on the slipper advice - I confirm that it was the ball diff that was slipping and not the slipper. Tightened the diff properly and the slipper works as it should (and needed to rebuild the newly installed ball diff after my error of having it too loose - doh!).

Yes, and double checked the manuals. Both the 22t 4.0 and the 22 5.0 Elite use the TLR 232067 trans case.
