I'm converting a 3.0 to a 4.0 and I ordered the shock shafts that are in the parts explosion part of the manual. It calls for part 233024 (3.5 x 48mm). But in the manual for the build instructions it calls for part 233024 (3.5 x 55mm). Which part do I need? And how do you get them since they have the same part number.

Hi guys. Bought a 4.0 during the sale. I’ve been out of TLR cars for awhile now. I’ll be running 13.5 on carpet, slick tires that get sauced. What can you recomend for the build? Any good carpet set ups? Should I get a gear diff? Any help would be appreciated.

13.5 and carpet you NEED a gear diff for sure. The new G2 diff with the metal gears is what I run. Other than that start off with 37.5w oil in front and 32.5w in the rear and go from there. Ride height of around 20mm if itís a fast high traction sounds good

Iím baffled 😕

Figured it out... just happened to see this discussed on 22empire. Adding glue to the sidewalls of the tires allows the truck to slip some instead of flip when it starts to roll up on the side of the tire. Had no idea we were talking tires here. 😁

I recently purchased my nephew a 22S ST for Christmas. Truck seems really nice as a starter for him, but I have had an issues that I'm hoping for some help with.

. We have broken (2) lower front a-frames in the short amount of time running. Both times they have broke where the inner hinge pivot goes through. Is there a company that makes a set of aluminum or carbon lowers for these? Or are there other kits that have inprooved lowers that would convert to my kit?

Thanks in advance!

Does anybody know of a wheel that has the same offset as the 22T 4.0 wheel, but with less thickness between the hex and the outer surface where the nut tightens to? I bought a set of TLR7003 wheels for my SC5M drag car build because I need to pull in the track width a bit, but there's so much material between the hex and where the wheel nut goes that I can't get any thread engagement on the axle shafts. The Team Associated wheels have a much thinner wall in this area.
