The car is definitely a winner on loose dirt, David Ronnefalk obliterated the competition at last year's Euros. You could try contacting him directly on facebook. Online support for all brands of Neidhard SA (HB Racing, Team Orion, Performa Racing) is hit or miss, I am afraid, but their products are amazing.

Anybody else breaking rear shock towers? I ran mine for the first time today and broke the tower within 5 minutes. Just curious if it was a freak thing or somewhat common.

Word is you can fill the outer holes with ca glue and carbon fiber dust . Then chop them off and sand smooth since they are never used anyway ...

Custom front shock tower like ronnefalk uses. Much smoother steering and better landing.

Sooooo, you are running a screw through the front, through the shock mounting aluminum piece, then the tower, then 3mm of spacer, then into the shock tower mount? Quite a bit less uptravel, no? Have a link to where you found this or the picture? For carpet or dirt? Thanks!!!!!

Its from my own d418.Yes shocks are attached to shock tower hole and 3mm spacer to line shocks on better angle. It has like 3mm more downtravel than normal inside shock position.

I understood it is of your car, but I was wondering if you saw Ronnefalk or someone else doing this - and where you might have found that picture. Thanks for sharing the idea, BTW.

Gearing depends very much on the specific type of motor. Not all 13.5 motors are the same, cf. the label on the current generation of Tekin motors.

Most motors come with instructions that list gearing recommendations.... I would start there.

Hi Vulva - thanks for sharing that front shock tower modification. However, after looking at your mod vs. the pictures of Ronnefalk's car - that's not what he did. You can see that your shocks are even with the bottom of the shock tower where it meets the plastic part of the tower where Ronnefalks is inward and upward (but dramatically different from the OEM holes). I wonder how we can replicate those locations to see how it feels?

We have to move front carbon shock tower part 3mm more towards front and drill new holes to that. It should be similar like my mod so front has more grip and softer feeling.
