I talked with Scotty and the intention is that this race is here to stay.

There are a lot of photo's and video's on the facebook page.

Maybe I'll start attending these after I retire in 10-15 years from now, Vegas has always been my favorite playground... it could be a win-win for the wife to hit the casino while I'm racing all week long, ha!

My only criticism as a spectator on the web this year was that racing concluded too early, I could barely get home from work in time just to catch the last round of races each day, but the mains were over on the last day too soon and I logged on just in time to watch them hand out awards and start tearing down the track. It would've been nice for them to start their program a little later so most folks could watch it in the evening during "prime time".

That makes no sense....you want to be able to watch the race after you get home from work...I guarantee you the people that spend the money to go to these races don't care whether or not they are on "prime time". They want to get done so they can relax at dinner with friends.

If you want to grow the sport and increase visibility, then you should cater to the masses who will be watching the live stream feeds when it's most convenient... if the majority is at school or work, then that defeats the purpose IMO.

Maybe host a nice breakfast banquet instead of a dinner?

I really enjoyed watching the ROAR Nats earlier this year, I believe they had the mains on a Sunday where most people aren't at work or school.

You don't grow the hobby by letting racers watch it via liverc at home during prime time. You grow the hobby by holding events like this in public places where there is exposure.

There are many ways to grow the hobby.

The videos are online for viewing any time if you're a Bonus Lap member for LiveRC. I realize it's not live but the option is there to enjoy them.

This was an amazing event, there isn't another anywhere in the world like it. The way Scotty and his crew run the show is simply next level. Couple that with a great race surface, a great layout, well thought out and constructed jumps, ample pitting area, and oh yeah it's in Las Vegas. It's a must attend event.

If I remember correctly, the on-road program ended later in the day due to the number of entries. While this years off-road program did not have the entries that the on-road portion did I bet next years off-road entries will double so it will end later in the day.
