Here is my base setup I use at Phil Hurd raceway in Savannah. Large 1/8 packed clay track that does not get prepped besides being watered every once in a while. Lap times are in the 30-35 second range. The lowest I finished with this setup was 4th in the A. Mess with the droop screws, they make a large difference. The next week I was able to get my hero lap down to 28 seconds after discovering a new line.

Got a great deal on a Hobbywing Xerun XR8 SCT and 4268 G2 motor. Now I need a servo... getting closer to building this thing. I went through the kit and it's nice that some updated parts are included with notes regarding them, you can tell these guys really care.
Are there any build tips from anybody or anything I should watch out for? Any upgrade parts required out of the box or is it good to go?

Raced my ETO for the first time yesterday at Phil Hurd Raceway in Savannah, same setup as I posted earlier here. Qualified and finished 2nd overall. Buggy was easy to drive and I put down some fast laps, but the track was very dusty during the main and I was running on worn Zipps, so it was a challenge. I was very impressed, buggy did not break or otherwise give me any trouble and I did quite well for not racing in 5 months and only having an hour of practice on this layout.

Guys! Just got mine in the mail, going to build it up and might ask some questions along the way. When building the diffs, were the shims good to go with one beneath each gear? or was there a little bit of trial to get the mesh just right?
Thanks
