RC drag car

Which one factory is the best between the dr10 and the drag slash and the 22s and the dr10m?

I like mine! Losi 22S!!

From what I've seen, the DR10 is probably the "best" platform to start with. You can basically drop in a DRK with a 3.5t and run 2.1s all day.

The drag slash is loose, difficult to make go straight, but the velineon motor packs a punch. It can run on 3s vs most 2s outlaw builds and is actually a better car on 2s if running box stock.

The Losi is probably the most tuneable and comes with a serious 2s motor out of the box, but it seems to be the touchiest of the lot. It should be able to run faster than the others on 2s out of the box, but it takes more tuning and driver knowledge.

Well said and spot on! I like my DR10 over the 22S. The DR10M is doing well. You can look for John Schultz (YouTube and Facebook) for info.

With the dr10 could I go to a 3.0t motor or a 2.5t motor or a 2.0t motor? Nevermind 3.5t motor is max is there any other ESC that can handle either a 3.0t or 2.5t or 2.0t motor? Drk can not handle 3s it looks like am I correct about that? Or can it.

If you're going that low turn you can use an 1/8 esc like the MMX6s/8s or RX8. If you can get one then the R1. There's a modified version of the MMX6s from Ghost RC. Adds more timing.

Which is the best one between all of them?

R1 is the pinnacle at this time. If you can't get that, next is the MMX6s, MMX8s, then RX8. I'm sure there are others out there but this is what I'm familiar with. If you're planning to run the 4pole (whichever manufacturer), MMX6s appears to be quicker than the MMX8s for an unknown reason. I'm assuming it delivers the power better. Like I mentioned, the Ghost RC MMX6s is new and seems to be promising.

What I was thinking is get the dr10 and then put the losi 22s ESC and motor and battery and use a charger of theirs what gearing would you recommend?

There are many different ways that people do it. From what I've seen of people posting good times, they use 84/22 on the Losi which is a 9.27 FDR. That ratio pushes cogging if your battery is not up to task. The DR10 has a 2.60 transmission and the Losi is 2.43 so you can figure out what combination you want to try. If you have a good radio that would help also to help with the hit and cogging.

Either the Losi or Traxxas systems are doing well. I like the DR10 chassis over my 22S.
