Default tire break in/ setups tips

this area has been covered, im just curious if anyone has had good luck with what im trying. set of reaction wides mounted, cleaned with mineral spirits, sanded, coated with wd40, put in ziplock with air removed, in front of space heater. when they have soaked for about 5 hours with a few reapplications. im going to remove them and clean with simple green and test. also doing same to a set of stock dr10 rears.

I don't think you need the space heater, but WD40 is widely used to soften up tires. Usually soak them with WD40 day before you race, and simple green burnout before the run. This all assumes no prep

yes, no prep. i was just using the heater to open the pores of the rubber and allow the wd40 to penetrate deeper. this seems to have worked really well. i just cleaned the tires with simple green and tested it. pretty sure thats the first time my car has been on the wheelie bar.
